Got a furry friend who likes to sample any plants you place in and around your home? Our post on common house plants that are toxic to pets is so popular that I thought I would also post the non-alarmist version and provide a handy list of common plants that are completely non-toxic for cats and dogs. I've put together a list of some really attractive and totally non-toxic plants to brighten your space.

The following plants are non-toxic to both cats and dogs:

1. Blue Echeveria
2. Bamboo
3. Areca or Golden Palm
4. Burro's Tail or Lamb's Tail
5. Christmas Cactus
6. Cliff Brake or Button Fern
7. Hens and Chickens
8. Pearl Plant
9. Pony Tail Palm
10. Spice Orchid

But hey, don't limit yourself to my choices. For hundreds more healthy plant options, check out APSCA's full database.
