- Inspiration for my palette:
- I wanted the walls to be bright but still mature, so I used a blue-gray. I have always been drawn to red and yellow so I chose items I liked, regardless of whether they were "too bright" or clashing. The room makes me happy and relaxed, which is exactly the feeling a living room should have.
- Colors used in my room
- Red, Blue, and yellow.
- Tips for using color successfully
- Choose the colors you naturally gravitate toward, regardless of whether or not they are in style or on trend. If you pick a palette that makes you happy it will never go out of style for you.

Room for Color
Go Springfield! We lived in Alexandria. :) I could move right in. I loooove that bright yellow painting!
You have packed a lot into this small space, and it works. You've kept the colors and scale in sync so that it doesn't feel chaotic. Nicely done!
I hope you win!
Truly small scale, comfy looking, and sophisticated and subtle colors.
i love this room so so much!!! great job!!
Impressive!:)
I really admire the yellow, its a great way to add a lot of pop to a space. I will say though that I am not a fan of that random pink/red chair.
One of the best!
Beautiful color scheme for a small space! Personally, I may have edited some of the items on the bookshelf to balance the space, but that's just my opinion. I love the art!
This isn't Kendall from Waredaca, is it?
Love it! Cool...yet warm :)
Love it!! You have a natural talent. You need to come decorate my living room, although don't think my hubby would paint his deer heads white :)
Love this room & the colors, especially the pics on the walls!!! Hope you win!!!!
The colors tell me a happy family "lives " within those walls.
The painting on the wall...Ahhhh...I love it!
Beautiful, cozy space - the yellow totally makes it. What an incredible painting!
