Name: Kenley
Location: Orlando, Florida
I knew I wanted to brave the green walls whether we were having a boy or a girl, the gender specific colors could come later.
Once we found out we were having a girl, I opted for hot pink, with a touch of light pink to compliment the green. After spending countless hours researching nursery ideas on Pinterest and other blogs, I knew I wanted the room to be fun and not too "baby." I am so happy with how the nursery came together with the random pieces of furniture and decorating ideas.

Shaw's Original Fir...
love the green!
I have that same PPPB diaper bag! Best purchase ever. Also- I love the bright green and pinks! I'm torn if the light pink baskets really coordinate with the rest but at least they keep it from being too matchy matchy. I like this room a lot!
Fabu!
Love the whole room, so bright and lively. Good job and congrats
Adorable!
I love the paper flowers on the wall. It's a great accent to the wall!
looks like something out of Pottery Barn Kids or Land of Nod. Nothing original or unique here. How about some originality?
I like this alot! I went with pink and green for my daughter's room. It's amazing how completely different they are! I have to say that the poster must go.
I respectfully disagree with pyrexmaniac, I think it's bright and lovely. Every child's room takes on its own personality as the child grows and adds their own objects to it.
Hi, I thought for sure I'd find the name/brand of that beautiful green paint in the "sources"... and I don't see it on the blog. (or, I'm completely blind... which is entirely possible on a Friday afternoon.) Can you let us know? It's a great color.
I respectfully disagree with MichelleK. I highly doubt little Kenley is going to feel unhip because she has a fun, brightly colored poster with an uplifting message on her wall that some random strangers who read apartment therapy are tired of seeing. I think it's great for a kid's room.
Keltrue - The paint is Olympic Premium eggshell from Lowe's. We took the green stripes in and they matched the color for us, so the color was custom. Thanks!
Was the Wall Pops! color called "Lucky Green". I absolutely adore this room! Just found out today we are having a girl :)))
Thanks for the update!
Hi,
I realize this post is from a while ago, so I hope this is still monitored. But what did you use under the Expedit shelf to raise it up? I see something that looks like metal legs. I'd love to know what you used. Thanks!
Chelsea
Since posting my comment, I have now learned that Ikea has lots of different legs that can be added onto these shelves. Whoops! I should have completed my research before posting. ;-)
I am so sorry I am just now seeing your question/comment. Yes, the legs were CAPITA purchased at IKEA, there are different heights that you can choose from. We actually put the single EXPEDIT in our playroom with the same legs. We love them!
