Kenwood: The Cooking Chef

The times, they are a changin', and the fact that Kenwood is now selling a new product that combines technology and tradition - that's proof right there. We almost can't believe it.

Kenwood is releasing The Cooking Chef - it's a mixer that will now actually cook your food while mixing it. For whatever recipe calls for you to stand over the stove and "stir constantly", this guy will take out the middle man - you.

Here are some of the things The Cooking Chef has to offer: 20°C to 140°C temperature setting - accurate variable control for gentle warming to real cooking function (so if you need to make dough, or temper chocolate for example). Continuous cooking and mixing function - a controlled stir or mix can be selected whilst cooking freeing time. And just for the heck of it, a food processor attachment as well as a steam basket are included.

We're all for this machine if you're trying to make labor intensive dishes that you just don't have the time or energy to make on your own. We happen to love the labor, sweat and tears that go along with preparing a home cooked meal. If we wanted someone else to do the work for us, we'd go to a restaurant.

What do you think?
