Ever wish you could go flea marketing with a real expert — someone who scours the shows constantly and knows how to zero in on the best stuff? Martha Stewart Editorial Director Kevin Sharkey is that person, and so are his fellow editors and colleagues. They all headed up to the Brimfield Antique Show last week and brought back a van full of good finds, which they've shared online…
Clicking through Kevin's slideshow of treasures, you can see a true stylist's eye at work. There are some very "Martha-ish" pieces in the mix, including an antique ironstone bowl, a set of hefty brass scoops, and a group of brass vases — we can already see them in a magazine piece on flower arranging!
The Brimfield Antique Show — held several times every spring/summer in Brimfield, Massachusetts — is one of the largest in the country, with over 6,000 vendors. If you're interested in going, the next market takes place July 12-17, 2011.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love the stuff he picked up. Such a good taste.
I was there on the first day. One of the best experiences I've had.
course it helps to have a budget like his too.
lolz, spotter :)
All that jadeite! (Though I agree with spotter22!)
The kind of expert I'd like to accompany me to a flea market is someone who can differentiate the fakes from the real thing and tell me when I'm about to get ripped off.
I, for one, don't need someone to tell me what's pretty and what isn't.
Boring! He shops like an old man. The only thing I liked was the US map!
