Hosting a dinner party this season? Whether you have tons of them under your belt or are a still a novice when it comes to pulling together a party, it's always helpful to get the scoop on how others manage the task. From choosing and arranging flowers to prepping place settings …
… Kevin Sharkey published a post on how he put together a recent party in his NYC apartment.
Our favorite takeaway from Kevin's party post? Simple, classic style goes a long way when choosing tabletop, especially if you are going for the good stuff. He uses ultra-simple table settings - the all-white dishes, linens and candles let the mix of roses take center stage. By letting the flowers set the tone for the party means that those good dishes you invested in will work no matter what the occasion; with more subtle arrangements of roses at an elegant sit-down dinner as well as with raucous brightly colorful oversized bunches at a buffet.
