Keyboard Shortcuts for Our Favorite Social Networking Sites

If you frequent popular social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook and Flickr, using keyboard shortcuts can make your web browsing experience even easier. We've found some useful shortcuts you may not have known about. Find out how to speedily navigate your favorite social networking sites like a pro, after the jump.

Twitter

On twitter.com, simply press ? and this pop up shortcut menu will appear:

Flickr

Here are some useful shortcuts we found on the Flickr Help Forum:

c = Goes straight to comment box
f = "Favorite" if you're on someone else's photo
g = Add to group dialog pops up (on your own photos)
g = Admin invite to group (on someone else's Flickr)
j = Moves left in filmstrip
k = Moves right in filmstrip
l = Lightbox
p = Add a person to the photo
s = Add to set dialog pops up
t = Goes to "add a tag"
Left Arrow = Moves left in filmstrip
Right Arrow = Moves right in filmstrip
Down Arrow = Scrolls page down
Up Arrow = Scrolls page up
Bracket Keys = Changes filmstrip focus
Comma Key = Jumps left in filmstrip
Period Key = Jumps right in film
Alt-F4 = Auto-submit to Explore

Facebook

These shortcuts differ based on your web browser and operating system. Depending on your OS/web browser, you can use the following shortcuts with the corresponding numbers below:

Internet Explorer 7 for PC: Alt + #, then Enter
Firefox 3 for PC: Shift + Alt + #
Safari 3 for Mac: Ctrl + #
Firefox 3 for Mac: Ctrl + #
Google Chrome for Mac: Ctrl + Option + #

0 = Help
1 = Home
2 = Profile
3 = Friends
4 = Inbox
5 = Notifications
6 = Account Settings
7 = Privacy
8 = About
9 = Terms
