We realize that in some circles CDs are totally Yesterday.com, but around our house we have a couple dozen kids' discs that are in regular rotation. Ever since we spotted the Muji wall-mounted CD player in Ava's room tour and learned that she's been using it by herself since she was one year old, we keep thinking it would be a great addition to our music-loving home.
Ava's parents Elise and Darren told us that "The Muji CD player is perfect for Ava, because it's so easy for a young child to operate - just pull the cord to turn on or off. And putting the CDs on and off is easy, too."

like it. want it. need it.
This is a truly fun item! Last year, we vacationed on the Danish island of Bornholm, at the Hotel du Nord, http://www.hotel-du-nord.dk/index_uk.php , where the designer owners Jakob and Susanne, had installed these in all the (shared) bathrooms and toilets. Their music selection was a blast, and it was a fun whimsical (and practical) touch.
Really, nearly $200? I think I'll pass.
I wonder how you fwd from track to track? It doesn't say at MoMa.
The advantage of this is that it could be mounted out of inquisitive preschoolers/toddlers who love those shiny discs. I keep an inexpensive clock/cdplayer next to my son's bed. He loves to switch out the discs and fwd through the songs. But he's hard on the CDs (which are easy enough to burn again, I suppose)
