We've covered lots of great ideas for displaying and saving kids' artwork, from hanging it on a curtain rod to framing to using magnetic paint on the wall. But we can always use more ideas, right? Now there's an inexpensive storage and display option, and it's even available at the ubiquitous Target.
The Kids' Artwork Display Frame is actually more than a display. Behind the framed image there's a folder where you can store lots of other kids' masterpieces. The frame hinges open in order to add pictures or to change the main image. And you don't even have to remove it from the wall. At 12" x 16", the space allows you to hang a tablet-sized piece or, with the mat, to put up a standard 8 1/2" x 11" work.
Available at Target for $14.99.
Or, if you are a DIYer, check out a similar, homemade project here.

I saw this at my local Target yesterday, but it was $19.99! hmmmm. A neat idea though.
I've seen these for a while at my local Target but have never bought them because they were $19.99 and, they do not hold an 8.5" x 11" with the mat. It takes a 9" x 12" piece of paper to fill the cut area of the mat which wouldn't work with most of my child's artwork.
I'm going to look into this. I really, really want my refrigerator doors back.
I love these types of frames and was excited to read that I could get them at Target instead of having to go online. Too bad about the odd sizing but most of my toddler artwork is over-sized so it should still work for me. Also, I think the built in mat gives it a nice formal feel.
One of the posts I did in my series on Honoring Kids' Artwork was on different ways to put the pieces behind glass. Here it is if anyone is looking for more options:

I like this idea for pictures for grandparents too...there's only so much space in a lot of the retirement apartments, and most of our family doesn't like clutter. *adds to Target list*
Thanks!
I ordered this from Amazon about a year ago .Love it!
