Kids' Bathroom Makeover

Kids' Bathroom Makeover

Not every room makeover has to be drastic. If you are lucky, there are strong elements that can be built upon and the rest of the room just needs a little updating to make it new again. But even when this is the case, you often come across some detail that makes you wonder what the previous owners were smoking. Like, oh I don't know, a wallpapered ceiling, for example.

Anna at My Life and Kids knew that the well-maintained white tile walls in the future kids' bathroom were a stroke of great luck, leaving her to focus instead on other details that needed some attention. Like the wallpaper on the upper walls that, for some reason, also covered the ceiling. She managed to pull all of this down during naptimes, and followed it up with some scrubbing, patching, and painting. A fresh white ceiling, a newly painted vanity, homemade art and some colorful accents immediately breathed new life into what had been a drab space.

It's nice to be reminded that a transformation can take place due to the sweat of your brow rather than the size of your wallet. See the all of the pics, including the former wallpapered ceiling, at My Life and Kids.
