Need to cover a lot of wall space in a kid's room or nursery? Looking to add some color and interest without spending a ton of cash? Look at this clever idea using simple wooden ledges and colorful flashcards!
John and Sherry from Young House Love hung a few simple wooden ledges (that they made themselves: see this post for a detailed how-to) above their little girl's dresser in her brand-new "big girl" room. Sherry had been saving some colorful alphabet flashcards, and they turned out to be the perfect addition to the ledges — the flashcards can also be swapped out later for photos or artwork!
Go see more details of John and Sherry's flashcard ledges on their blog, Young House Love.

Nomade Express Slee...
Great idea! If anyone is looking for unique flashcards: I LOVE Tiffany Ard's Nerdy Baby flashcards. I framed the ones for my son's name (short name, no letter repeats, fortunately) and hung them on the wall. http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/nerd-flashcards
This is a good idea for a large wall, provided it can't be reached. My kid has recently been climbing up onto the changing table/dresser while he's supposed to be sleeping---scary, and would also be hazardous to unsecured art!
This is a great idea; it could easily be used on a larger scale with any number of items.
Cute idea, but I would be concerned if I opened the window and a big breeze would knock all the cards down.
saw a sarah richardson where she framed baby flash cards and turned into wall art and it looked great. solves the wind problem and gives you more flexibility
