that couch is straight-up to die for.
I need that couch.
Bravo! Well done.
I clicked favorite simply for the couch, LOVE!!
Great color combo!
I love those pillows! Where did they come from, if you don't mind me asking?
Does anyone know where the couch is from??
I would like to add some yellow in my interior design. When it's done right, it looks great, as in the photo above. When it's done wrong, it's beyond salvation and I've been there (I wince everytime I think about that sunroom I painted yellow - a total hate crime.)
that couch!
The couch is great. I'm also curious where the rug is from?
I'd live there.
i too would like to know where the rug is from...
Yay for yellow couches! I think this is the fourth I've seen in this contest. Well done.
Love the couch!
Thanks to all your thoughtful comments! This was my first non-lurking foray on AT...
To answer the questions, I'll preface, what I lack in budget-power I try to make up with thrift-persistence/creativity so:
The Jonathan Adler Bargello Pillows were a deal on ebay (and then I "modified" a couple of the colors by hand to better integrate in the room).
The Nani Marquina Seagrass rug was something I lucked out on via DWR’s ebay outlet—the listing failed to meet the reserve with my high-bid twice before they took pity on me.
The sofa…well…I’ve loved Niels Bendtsen's Neo Sectional for awhile but could never find one used/discounted enough. I did, however, find a cover being sold on ebay for 98% off. I bought this and convinced my partner to spend a weekend with me Frankenstein-ing our foamcore sectional and a $50 down thrift-store couch with roughly the same sized feather cushions into what you see. The chaise required a couple extra king pillows stuffing, but it’s actually very comfortable.
To my point, in the year and a half since, we actually found and bought a real Neo sofa on craigslist...but prefer our little monster baby anyway.
