Kim's DIY Chevron Soap Dispenser

I already confessed my love for all things chevron striped last week so it should come as no surprise to you that I think Kim's DIY soap dispenser is just the bee's knees! And, with a little painter's tape and spray paint, it was easy too!

After seeing similar soap dispensers priced at over $40 in a design shop, Kim decided to maker her own. Luckily for us, she wrote about it on her blog, Keller Creative.

First, Kim created the zig-zag pattern of the chevron design using cardstock. Then, she cut the pieces of painter's tape and applied them to a plain, white soap dispenser. After two coats of spray paint (Krylon's Bauhaus Gold), the soap dispenser really started to take shape. After allowing the paint to thoroughly dry, Kim removed the painter's tape and basked in the beauty of her new soap dispenser.
