- What I Love About My Small Home:
- It's my first time living without roommates, so I love that I can decorate however I want without having to compromise, and only have things that I really like...oh and the place is always clean! The high ceilings are nice too, they make the space seem a bit bigger than it really is.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- It was challenging to work with the boring drab apartment beige paint that covers everything, including most of the molding, doors and even the ceilings! Not to mention the carpet being the same color. I've tried to incorporate lots of bright artwork and objects that help keep things from looking too plain.

Windows on three sides! That is essentially not possible in small rental spaces. I can't imagine how the total building is shaped to provide this wash of light.
No bedside lamp?
Beautiful calm colors, jaunty prints. Lots of good ideas.
Very nice...............such a fresh and well done look to your home!
I like it.
Therese, it could be the top floor of an end-unit rowhouse. There are lots of those where I live.
Not crazy about the ceiling but it's a cool idea. Was this already there or did you do that?
Curtains on one window in the kitchen but not the other. (?)
I really like how you pulled your work desk together.
Love the size of that kitchen and the color tile in your bathroom. Your shower curtain goes so well. Nice
Cute as a button! You must love living there. I would! Love the living room, and you've done a great job with the shower curtain matching the tiles. The only thing I would do is add a simple window treatment to the larger window in the dining/area of your kitchen. Really a nice place.
I want to see more of the living room-- I find it tough to understand how all of these images fit together in your overall home.
Where did that rug come from! i love it.
I like it. I have to say though, I'd rather save the current office area as a dining area and create a small office in your bedroom if there's room. But, that's just me since I like to entertain and cook and have everyone sit at a table. Like Florida Joyce said, you must love living there! =) It's simply cute!
Love the bathroom tiles!
Not in love with the acoustic ceilings, but I love the bathroom tiles. A very livable space.
Your ceiling looks like an office, but the rest looks like a nicely decorated apartment.
simple, clean and pretty. i like!
Love the bathroom tiles and color scheme of the living room and bedroom.
Looks lovely!
Thank you for showing a picture of every major room/area in your groovy pad! I like it, especially that pretty robin's egg blue tile in the bathroom with the flirty curtain. Perfect curtain for that space! Sorry you have to live with wtw carpet. Death to carpet! But you've done a great job disguising it with the rug in the living room. Nicely done!
Is the desk from Ikea?
@LyonStill - Yep the ceiling was already there, not a huge fan, but stuck with it for now
I had the kitchen curtain from the last apartment, that only had 1 window. I wasn't able to find another one for the second window, so definitely need to find 2 of the same for both windows.
@yeah, i answer to red- the rug came from homegoods.
@jettsam - yep the desk is from ikea. i love it because its huge and gives me lots of work space, yet breaks down into 3 small pieces that I can easily carry myself.
for having some much working against you will the horrible beigeness of it all, you've done a good job of personalizing it but there is work still to be done. Invest in a headboard at least.
I love it. So elegant and classy. Airy too. I especially love your bathroom and kitchen. LOVE the kitchen. It looks so airy and roomy, not tiny at all. :)
