Liveblogging the January Cure 2014

This will be my second year participating in the January Cure, but my first in my current apartment. While my space has come together over the past several months since moving in, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to look at it with fresh eyes and tackle a few challenges head on.

I'm happy with how things are shaping up overall (thanks in no small part to the Style Cure), but I would love to tie up some loose ends and give it that polished, finished feeling. Here is my room by room list to help me get there.

Kitchen: Pare down dishes and move excess to storage, organize cupboards and clear countertops.

Living Room/Dining: Purge unnecessary items and create storage for project/craft supplies. Source pouf and tray for a space-conscious alternative to a coffee table. Find containers for plants (aside from the plastic ones they came in). Finish or replace window covering. Sew throw pillow covers to add color.

Office/Bookshelves: Purge and organize books, wire task tamp to reach desk, streamline files.

Bathroom: Purchase additional cabinet to double storage and hide vacuum, iron, etc... out of sight. Source baskets for stylish storage atop cabinet. Replace bathmat and hand towel. Remount hand towel hanger to appropriate height so towel does not rest on sink.

Bedroom: Mount headboard. Adjust door on hinges to it can be opened/closed without moving rug. Clean out closet.

That's my list for today. Let me know how yours is going in the comments below.
