We love nice sheets. There's something decadent feeling about slipping into bed between high thread count cotton. Our secret sheet source? Costco. A friend turned us onto the Kirkland Signature 500 TC Pima Cotton Sheet Sets a few years ago and we've never looked back.
Costco, land of the gallon size mayonnaise jars, isn't the first place most people think of when buying great sheets, but in our experience they're insanely soft and last for years, and of course come with that always low Costco price.

I have 3 sets of Kirkland Signature sheets. They are heavenly.
Kirkland only put their name on very good products - their cotton shirts are fabulous too.
Another thing to put on my grocery list:
Dish soap... check
Bed sheets... check
I've been buying the Kirkland beach towels at Coscto for years.
They are heavy weight, egyptian cotton, great designs, and they last forever. They come in two sizes the larger ones can fit two people! They are great!!

I wish stores would sell sheets the way Ikea does. You can buy an individual flat sheet or an individual fitted sheet. You're not having to buy a full sheet set that includes both flat, fitted, and pillows.
I know, it's because Ikea follows the European duvet system, so you can put different things together instead of having a full set.
Why isn't everybody already using duvets yet? It's so much easier and looks so muich cleaner.
BTW, anybody know a good place to buy reasonably-priced deep-pocket (18") fitted cotton sheets?

Ross and TJ Maxx are also great for high quality, cheap sheets. I just bought a king sized set of sateen 400 thread count sheets that are the softest I've ever had...30 bucks. It's all close outs, so you have to dig a little, but I see great sheet bargains every time I'm there.

lolax, I've used duvets but I hate the way the comforter shifts around inside it. I also like having a separate sheet. Maybe just because it's what I'm used to, but a light, cool sheet with a heavier quilt or comforter on top feels different than a duvet, and I prefer it.
Word on the TJ Maxx. Those people really know how to sell nice sheets for nothing. I always find fantastic higher-end Ralph Lauren sheets there that do me right--in bed and in my purse. And RL sells their stuff as sets and individually, so you can definitely mix and match.
In case anyone's still reading and happens to know, are these sheets percale or sateen? I really hate limp, floppy bedding. Sheets should be crisp imo.
Hey greer, Bed Bath and Beyond sells these neat holders that clip your comforter to the inside of your duvet at the corners. Been working for me for a couple of years. Look in the duvet section at the end of the aisle.
As for CostCo, I've never found them to sell full/double sized sheets so I'm, for the moment, sh*t out of luck.
