As we type this we are fighting yet another cold and we cannot help but wonder if our tech is making us sick. Now we know an argument can be made as to whether too much tech is harmful to health, but we are more thinking about the germs that reside on our favorite pieces of tech and what their impact is on our lives. Are our germ laden gadgets preventing us from getting well and/ or re-infecting us? With this in mind we were delighted when we spotted this handy guide on Lifehacker for safely cleaning and disinfecting our devices.
Whitson Gordon created this helpful guide to safely cleaning and disinfecting gadgets which, paranoid about getting sick us, have already taken to heart.
While most of the frequently touched tech like mice or keyboard can be safely cleaned using an alcohol or disinfecting spray this is definitely not the case with precious touchscreen devices. Gordon suggests iKlenz or Monstor CleanTouch for cleaning devices with oleophobic screens that are not covered in a screen protector.
