Kitchen and Bath in a Modern Split Level Renovation

Would you believe this kitchen is in what was once an out-of-date split level? Says the owners' designer, Jessica Helgerson: “The house was such a dog,” [she] recalls with a guilty laugh. “It had all these small vinyl windows. The kitchen was super-cramped. Inside, everything was mauve.”...

Now, the house is a bright, white, stylish backdrop for a young family's busy life. I love it. It's clean, it's modern, it's still warm and inviting. Gotta to agree with you too on the kitchen hood/shelves and the bathroom wallpaper.

I don't think this house would have nearly the impact without the cut tree branches. I wonder if they're only good for photo staging or if they last long enough to replace cut flowers?

oops, forgot to post on topic. The wood floor is beautiful & I love the way the green looks w/ it. I love seeing white walls working like they do here.

I like that bathroom too. Sure wish my DW didn't have that darn bird phobia.

The tree branches were probably for the photo shoot only. Most trees branches don't take water very well.

I've seen those barstools at Red Mango. I like them too! Does anyone know who makes them?

Turns out they're from Stua by Jesus Gasca, the Onda Stool, worth noting that they're 100% recyclable once disassembled, I've located them ranging from $300 (eBay, set of 3 at $300 each) up to $400 online (currently on sale for $340 at DWR). I'd seen them previously in orange but the shape just didn't register in my mind because the white looks far more sculptural.
