Kitchen Cabinets: Not Just For The Kitchen

Kitchen Cabinets: Not Just For The Kitchen

A friend of ours is in the market for a credenza for her living room to hold her flat screen and all the peripherals that go along with it. Something about about this big, she said, leaning on our kitchen's narrow counter, with doors. Why not repurpose kitchen cabinets?, we suggested. You can do that? Her eyes opened wide. The thought had never even crossed her mind.

Used kitchen cabinets (your own or pulled from the your neighbors remodeling job) can, with a coat of paint and a new top, find a second life in your living room, your bedroom, or your dining room. For a top, try an old fireplace mantle, reclaimed wood, an old door. Think outside the box.
