Kitchen Crocks Combine Vintage Style and Modern Purpose

For all our love of the sleek and modern, there are times when we fall for quirky pieces with vintage flair- especially when it comes to kitchenware. Kitchen crocks are a favorite collectible for many who appreciate both their form and function, and true vintage pieces abound at flea markets or yard sales around the country. These crocks are especially appealing because they combine vintage styling with a modern purpose.

These lovely ceramic crocks are actually countertop composters, designed to collect kitchen scraps without detracting from your kitchen decor. Glazed inside and out, these crocks will never stain or absorb food odors, and the activated-carbon filter that trap odors last for two months. Dishwasher safe, the Kitchen Compost Crock is available in the three colors shown above, though we confess it is the fire hydrant shape of the red one that captured our fancy.
