I always get the DIY bug whenever summer starts. Maybe it's the sun, or the longer days, or the baby birds in the trees outside my window learning how to fly, but whenever the weather starts to get warmer, I find myself in a tizzy to make things and redecorate anything I can get my hands on. This awesome project to DIY a set of summery new linen napkins and towels seems like it would scratch both itches nicely. Jenny Steffens Hobick from Everyday Occasions came up with this great DIY project, and gives wonderfully detailed instructions so there's little chance of getting lost along the way.
The elegant striped napkins look like they would take some Martha Stewart-level skills to duplicate, but Hobick breaks the process down into easy steps that make the whole thing look pretty simple.
And the best part is that with the technique down, there's no reason to stick to stripes if you want flowers or bunnies. This technique would work for anything you'd like to do. (Although I think I'll stick with the classy stripes this time.)
