We've got a source who just tipped us off to IKEA's newest Klippan love seat slipcover and its likeness to the textile designs of Josef Frank. Frank's designs reappeared in the past two years on expensive Anthropologie upholstered chairs. Officially known as "Skatelov multicolor," this IKEA slipcover might be your answer to Just Scandinavian on a tight budget...
This is the Josef Frank design we found that is most similar...

The print is nice (although not my taste), it's just a shame the legs ruin it, as they do on so many Ikea designs!
the legs are such an easy fix!! just go to home depot or lowes and buy a different set. they are cheap and screw right in. i bought some very pretty natural wooden ones and love them!
OMG, I love it! I think they nailed it!
Some people love to hate Ikea, but I think you get what you pay for, and if you dont have tons of money to pay for high end stuff, you get a great deal. I frequent Ikea Red Hook. I like to know whats out their for my renters on a budget. NYC apts are tight, and you can usually find something to fit any space, any aesthetic, and any budget.
GREAT alternative and wonderful print. Anthropologie isn't in every one's budget. : (

I actually think the legs are one of the best things about IKEA designs. I love that they often avoid boring, cliche wooden legs and go for something much cleaner and more modern. Nice.
The only thing I would hate on is the quality of the klippan slipcovers - they sag and fade and get crappy pretty quickly. But I guess they are also cheap enough to replace.
