We spotted these scrumptious lights on 50 Danska Kvadrat. They reminded us of a recent post by Jeanine about disheveled pendant lighting cords. See below the jump for another lovely picture...

These lights, by German designers Llot Llov, use an eco friendly bulb and the wire does not heat up, making it possible for the cord to be covered with knitted material. For more photos, click here.

That would be SO easy to make with a spool knitter! I had one of those when I was little. I think I made a throw rug out of the long knitted cord I created. Bet I could knit enough to make something like that light cover just doing it in front of the TV for a week or two.
I watch too much television...
good way to get some hot firemen to the apartment..
From the photos on the llotllov site, it looks like they're using a low-wattage CFL, but you could probably do this with a diffused LED bulb if you have the scratch and you're concerned about fire safety.
is that a giant push-pin in the top image?! omg.
I'm more interested in the 'grassy' headboard.
Love it... and I had one of those spool knitters too! Where is that thing?
I like those lights. The disheveled pendant lights reminded me of this earlier AT post of the Llot Llov lights:
