These furniture dealers are swanky and spendy, but it doesn't hurt to dream, right? Actually, not having any outdoor space of our own, we can only dream anyway, but if we had a courtyard garden or a modern patio and a no-limit budget, these are the places we'd shop for furniture.

Janus Et Cie: This company specializes in to-the-trade pieces that are large, comfortable, and perfect for poolside. Shown above is the Gigi Lounge (price on request).

Tectona: Based in France but available to Americans thanks to the magic of international shipping, Tectona works with top European contemporary designers. This is the Grasshopper Chair by Weiki Somers, € 222.

Vitra: This Swiss company is a reliable source for modern classics, and they have showrooms and retailers around the world. The indoor/outdoor Panton Chair, designed by Verner Panton, is $260.

Knoll: A go-to source for mid-century classics and office furniture, Knoll also stocks some amazing outdoor sets. The Toledo Chair by Jorge Pensi is one of our all-time favorite outdoor designs, but it's pricey, clocking in around $1,000.

Fermob: This French company makes bistro sets in every color of the rainbow, as well as contemporary variations on European outdoor classics. This is the brand new Surprising Lounger (price on request).

Curran: Based out of Seattle, this online/catalog retailer has a gorgeous selection of high-end furniture for the yard or patio. This is the Kolorado Collection, ranging from $700 - $4,200.

Roche Bobois: Another French company with an impeccable catalog of unique and beautiful things, they carry a limited line of outdoor seating and dining. This is the Bel Air Bistro Table (price on request).

B & B Italia: A leg of this Italian company is devoted entirely to outdoor furnishings. They carry designs by Patricia Urquiola, Naoto Fukasawa, and Richard Schulz, who designed this 1966 Swell Collection (price on request).

Marin Outdoor Living: Best known for their eco-smart portable fireplaces (which can be used outdoors), Marin also sells modern, high-style outdoor furnishings. This is the Mamagreen Collection (price on request).

Muleh: Based in Washington, DC, this store carries indoor/outdoor furniture made from natural materials. Their pieces tend to be big and bold, like the Voyage Bed shown here (price on request).

This would be a more interesting and stronger post if the prices for the pieces has been researched and included, rather than just listing them as Price on Request.
I know what price on request means, it means I will never spend that much on something like that. :)
Knockout as in "knock your brains out with how much money they charge for a plain aluminum chair". Anything that's listed as "price on request" will be unreasonably expensive, guaranteed.
however, $4k for a 65" TV is reasonably expensive? Or, $75 for a pair of sneakers that cost $10 in materials and labor is a great deal. Right?
simply put: what something is worth to you is just that: what it's worth *to you*. don't want to spend more than $50 or $100 on a chair? don't do it.
however, if you do want to spend more money on a chair because of how it was made, what it is made of and how it looks and feels, you have some options.
for example: we bought an outdoor table from Ikea a few months ago and the edges are starting to rust. It's disposable. we bought two outdoor Emu chairs from Room & Board two years ago, they look brand new. they're not disposable.
i'm surprised that the author left out EMU (i think outdoor is all they do), Paola Lenti (outdoor is mostly what they do) and Magis which also has an outdoor line. the last one includes some less expensive and neat looking options like the Jasper Morrison Air line.
the first and third commenters have it right: how hard is it to pick up the phone and get a price quote? you can always note price is subject to change. AT, less posts with more details can also be a path to higher impressions.
Whoops, sometimes what I write gets taken way out of context. What I meant was that I personally cannot afford things listed as such.
Investing in higher quality furniture is a good idea of course.
My favorite affordable outdoor furniture is from Fermob from France which has great quality in 24 luscious colors. It is durable furniture for a great price! Traditional collections as well as modern collections are available. Click here for some of their styles!

The Designer Insider
When I read, 'to the trade only', I know I can't afford it. It's fun to look, though... ;)
I've seen "Seasonal Living" 's upcoming outdoor furniture line that will be introduced this fall and it is outstanding. Their prices are reasonable, too.
