A reader suggested sharing some of the beautiful knitting and crocheting projects from Ravelry and I thought it was a great idea.
The number of projects on the site is impressive (almost overwhelming) and definitely worth visiting if knitting or crocheting is your thing. I picked out some of my favorites — but I didn't even get through half of them! I wonder if I can teach myself to knit or crochet before the holidays? Note: To see the link to each project, you have to register on the site but it is free and easy.

Shaw's Original Fir...
That Scrabble blanket is to die for.
I love Ravelry! I have stuff on there but mostly garments.
Their search engine is great. And once you find a few things you like, you can click on the names of the people who made them to see more of their stuff, then click further to see what they've favorited. Save your own favorites.
You can also search for things that are quick and easy to make by filtering by the size needles or hook used (bigger is quicker).
where do I find the actual patterns for these? I love the first one, I want to make it!
The pattern for the knotty pillow is in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Crochet Today magazine. you can order that issue at 800-865-7240.
