Frustrated by your printer's performance? Do you avoid printing in color because you know your cartridge is on its last leg?
Kodak recently announced a new line of all-in-one printers geared toward the frequent printer and photo enthusiast. Their new line of printers (ranging in price from $ 150 - 300) offer a cure for your inkaphobia.
The selling point of these printers, is Kodak's effort to reduce the cost of ink cartridges. Kodak promises black cartridges at just $9.99 and five-ink color cartridges at $14.99. When bought together, a 4 x 6 photograph will cost just $.10 to print. Even better, its small design (18"x14"x8" for the mid-priced model) and variety of printing and scanning features, Kodak offers a cost and space saving alternative without loss of function.
The real question is, will these printers actually live up to their promise of providing high-quality printing at low cost? Only time will tell, but with their multi-use function, small footprint, and promise of low cost at high volume it seems like a perfect addition to the small, low budget home office.
The printers will be available in March 2007 at Best Buy stores, and on the Kodak website in April 2007.
