We have a little thing for Airstreams. We dream of buying one, renovating it, and leading a simple, peaceful life in our little silver trailer. Until we come up with a little spot to put it in, however, it's a dream. Which is why, for now, we just drool over books like Airstream Living -- which is where we first saw Kristiana Spaulding's Airstream.

Spaulding says, "... I incorporated rounded forms to the interior to match the feel of the exterior. The color palette is actually based on a piece of birch bark that has a surprising array of subtle colors. Within the interior I made my sentimental objects into functional objects to keep things streamlined. This can be seen in my sand curtain and my postcard countertop on my design page."

You can see a couple more photos of the California jewelry designer's '67 Airstream Tradewind, as well as her jewelry, on her website.

I also daydream about owing a vintage Airstream. This example is beautifully decorated, excellent example of small space living. I'll be checking that book out from the library.
The Airstream renovation dream has to be one of the best projects ever. I love this post!
That is insanely groovy!
