Name: Kristie
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Kristie sent us photos of her lovely vintage home in Nashville. She writes: My style is a kind of Enchanted Vintage. Our home is a 1939 stone cape cod surrounded by ...
...1960's ranch homes. We have restored a good deal of this home and do pretty much everything ourselves. Inspired by old homes, early 1920's and 30's architecture, estate sale finds, and kitschy nostalgia. Challenges have included lack of closet space (!) and reworking things without messing up original details.
Thanks, Kristie!
We've had amazing response to our Apartment Therapy House Tour Submission Form. While we will work with homeowners of our favorite homes to feature full tours, we will also share the best as House Calls — short, quick tours of readers' homes. Submit your home here.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love this house!
Please do a full house tour! This is great.
This place looks amazing. FULL HOUSE TOUR!!!
very cute!
That kitchen is full of something awesome.
I audibly gasped when I saw the stunning hardwood floors in the fourth picture. Gorgeous home, would love to see more.
Please, FULL TOUR!!! This place is adorable, and yeah, that floor is killer! This almost reminds me of Lorelai Gilmore's place... *swoon*
wowwowwow
full tour and waaay more pictures, please
What a great job in the kitchen -- the real linoleum is in a gorgeous pattern, and the little details like the glass knobs really make it special. Fabulous, Kristie! Thanks for sharing your home!
Love it!
Yowza! I think I'm in love....
The first three pictures made me sigh--in the good way. Number four, with that floor made me gasp--also in the good way. That doorway in picture number five knocked me right off the couch--absolutely in the good way.
Wow.
Loving your color palette, your ceramics, and your kitchen!
OMYGOSH...........How fantastically lovely.
Super cute!! I especially love the kitchen, though. Very, very nice.
Beautiful! I'm so glad to see my former home town represented. A full house tour would be great.
This needs a full house tour. I'd love to see more.
Bench seating nook and over-seat storage by the kitchen window are a nifty solution. Love the off-white/buttercream colour scheme too.
Is that Marmoleum on the kitchen floor?
This house is fantastic!
This tour leaves me wanting more! Well done! The dining nook has to be my favorite element from what I've seen, also love the wood floors in the fourth picture too.
I had not yet seen my Nashville represented on AT before, so I nervously clicked on the post... wow, I am so proud! Beautiful home!
I adore all the built-ins in the kitchen. Lovely!
WOW! i love this era and you have represented it beautifully and respectfully while still managing to avoid the stuffy-grandma-house syndrome. that hardwood is incredible, as is the slanted ceiling and your beautiful collectibles. great work! and yes, i'd love to see a full house tour!
I agree, I'd like to see a full house tour. I like how the floor by the dining nook has a sort of checkered floor but with varying sizes. That's a cool detail.
Yup. Full house tour needed. Your house looks so, so great!
Completely f-ing awwesomme.
Everyone else has already said it so well. I love, love, love this house.
This house is amazing!!!
thank you for all the nice comments on my home! i enjoy seeing all the beautiful homes on this site, and what a trip to see my own on here! i've been decorating and staging homes for the last several years and recently started a decorating blog to help share inspiration and ideas with others at www.makingarrangementsblog.com. there are lots more pictures of my house and others i've worked on in that blog!
Let me add to the kudos-- your house is fantastic. PLEASE submit a full house tour!
Such a lovely home -- I would love to see more! Kristie is obviously very talented. Hoping to see more of her work soon....!
LOVE this home - the feeling is wonderful! Very vintage but very young, too. Would love a whole house tour as there is obviously much more to see, love and envy! The love that has been poured into this house is evident.
Very nice but, I once showcased my high end Hamptons rentals and someone pointed out a tablecloth on a table does not make it look high end.. remove it , and leave bare if in good condition or paint a brown after you fill cracks etc...
after it was pointed out I agreed, now I replaced mine, and it looks much better
ooooh so pretty. never seen a suit of arms in a home or wearing fur before, but i like it. enchanting indeed!
I love the suit of armor! The pearls and fur wrap are inspired! My friend in Philly wants one too. Best hall tree EVER!
Beautiful! You have the nerve to do things I would only dream about. Inspiring! Would love to see more of your home.
Would love to see the full tour as well! Can't get over how well you've used your space. Lovely.
Very different from my taste but absolutely fun! This is why I love AT!
More, more! This house seems like grandma-meets-hipster in the most delightful way...I want to see more, and I want to move in...
House tour, please!
Love the house. Even more deeply, I love that channel-back chair. My grandmother had one and I've been searching for one like it for years. I will be ecstatic if more pictures of the chair -- and picture of more of the chair -- appear in the House Tour. I know an amazing upholsterer who can copy it.
Or, does anyone know anything about this chair or ones like it? Maybe if I had details, I could search for one online.
Many thanks!
Rapunzel - I got the green channel-back chair from a yard sale, and I also have a beautiful yellow one with original upholstery that I found at an estate sale. The best place to find those type chairs are at estate sales in neighborhoods with 1950's -1960's ranch homes. Many of those homeowners have lived there since they built their homes and have their original formal living room sets that were rarely sat on! I have quite a vintage chair collection - most with original upholstery. You can check them out on my decorating blog at http://www.makingarrangementsblog.com. Just go to Collective Soul: Vintage Chairs.
the kitchen table and benches are beautiful. So is the rest of the house. The armor makes the last room look cluttered and it cheapens the expensive feel of the rest of the house.
"I want to go to there!"
@karenenen
I had the same reaction!
That living room is TO DIE FOR.
This is exactly the kind of house I hope to live in. Beautiful, Kristie!
ohhhhhhh, that living room shot with the great green book shelf put it over the top for me! so lovely.
Very nice, but what made me gasp was the floor!
I gasped at the floor too! hehe
