Name: Kristy & family (5 + dog)
Location: Miami Beach, Florida
Last year, my family of 5 plus one poodle moved from a sprawling country house to a 900+ square feet rented, art-deco era condo on Miami Beach. Before moving, we gave away almost everything that we owned. We only kept the essentials, the sentimental, and the absolutely love-it items.
The condo has nice architectural elements and lovely 1920's wooden floors. The style of our home evolves, but it maintains an eclectic, natural, and minimalist quality. By the way, despite the complete absence of any storage (we share one large closet and one linen closet amongst us), the kids say this is their favorite place we've ever lived! The walking distance to South Beach doesn't hurt.
Thanks Kristy!

Shaw's Original Fir...
We too went from a large home to a small apartment and are thrilled. Where do you sit and eat? I only see 4 chairs and space for 4 at the table?
Totally cute -- it looks like a soothing place to come home to, rather than a demanding one.
Hippest use of doilies yet!
I agree with farmhousemoderne - the doilies are amazing - thanks for giving me an excuse to stock up!
Beyond that, the space definitely feels like everything in it was chosen to be useful and/or beautiful. :)
Miami Beach is the best place to live, and 900 sq. ft. is not bad. Love this apt.
