Name: K.P.C. (7 months)
Location: Ottawa, Canada
K's nursery was pieced together with the intention of creating a fun, whimsical, "make me wanna smile" space to enjoy. My husband and I love to spend time in the nursery with our little man and we think (hope) he enjoys it as much as we do.
We didn't find out the gender ahead of time, so this room actually started out as gender neutral. However, as I kept adding items I started to realize it was probably more suited for a boy than a girl. Maybe it was mother's intuition!
Much of our design inspiration came from browsing different galleries and blogs. However, after I found and purchased the fabric for the curtains, everything else slowly fell into place. Admittedly, not everything in the room necessarily goes well with another and there is definitely A LOT of pattern in the room, but all of it put together makes me chuckle inside and that's really the "theme" we stuck to.

White Enamel Flatwa...
This nursery is great! It's still really gender neutral. I mean, unless gray, blue, green, and orange are "boys' colors" now..
I like the glider. Great job! All the basic models out there are pretty ugly - I suspect you thought so too.
I really like this nursery! FUN but still calming
That mobile!
I love everything about this room except the wall color. I wish folks would stop using grey. Maybe a lighter shade but I realize that's just personal perference.
i love everything about this room, but especially the wall colour.
a million thank yous from your canadian audience for featuring one of our own :)
I love grey walls, it really lets the colors in the decor pop. I agree with first poster that it's still gender neutral, there's nothing in there that screams boy to me. I'll be using a similar color palette for my little girl but with an outdoorsy theme.
This room is so cute. Love the pac-man tree decals and rear end art. However, the old fogey in me prefers blue rooms for baby boys and pink for baby girls. Off I go to the early bird special.
Thanks everyone for the great feedback. Duane - I certainly thought the same regarding other gliders. Glad I found that one, and for a great price.
It looks like the room gets plenty of light and it looks like a very relaxing and happy baby room. This is definitely not a depressing dungeon gray! Where did you got the boxes you painted to fit the Expedit?
Edava19 - I purchased the white boxes from XSCargo.
Beautiful room! I love the grey walls mixed with the green curtains! I'm curious how you like the crib. I saw that crib online and liked the style but was curious how well it would hold up for being from walmart. Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated.
I LOVE this room! I was trying to find the animal clip arts, but my search on Fotolia.com for Rivka came up with zero results :( Suggestions?
Katie,
It's a fabulous crib and quite solid. It completely exceeded all my expectations. It was packed very well and shipped very quickly. My husband and I put it together in roughly 20 minutes. The hardware is of pretty decent quality as well and I like that it has four levels for baby as he/she grows. I highly recommend it. I'm also quite short (5'2") and this crib in particular is not as high off the ground as other cribs which makes getting baby in/out not so hard on the back. :o)
Jessica,
I dug through all my bookmarks and happened to find the link I saved: http://en.fotolia.com/p/200629225
I hope that helps!

Thanks so much Sharon! Appreciate your feedback, and thanks for mentioning it's good even when you are short. I'm 5'1" and was also concerned about the height!
beautiful room! is this expedict library?
Hello-
I was wondering where you got the little patterned storage boxes that you have in the Ikea bookshelf/toy shelf?
Thanks!
Tauni Ann - I purchased the boxes from a local store called XSCargo. The original boxes were plain white with no pattern. I painted the patterns onto the boxes with acrylic paint.
