We don't find much appealing about those standard black and white cowhide rugs. Something about walking on it when it still so closely resembles the animal it came from gives us the creeps. And while we know these cowhide rugs are essentially the same thing, they're infinitely more attractive.

Every rug is created by hand and custom sized, so while we're guessing the price is sky high (hard to tell as you have to submit a quote request), the quality is no doubt on another level, too.

drool...
One of these days I will stop moving thousands of miles every two years and live somewhere where I feel like I can actually invest in furnishings that I am going to keep for a long time, and this is certainly on the list.
wow........ i just spent way to much company time browsing this website..... these are amazing! stunning!
Hides give me the creeps too, but as long as Im eating meat-It's hard to complain. At least all parts of the carcass are being utilized.
Oh & I agree that they're attractive.
so very sad.
These are beautiful. I actually called about these and spoke to Kyle. He's a lovely person.
The one shown on the top is incredible. I wish I had the budget for them though.
amazing! stunning! animal cruelty is just SO darn chic.
tragic on every level
one of those items that I cant tell if I love or hate
nothing like a little floor fashion to bring out the self-righteous. I'll make sure I craft protest placards made out of organic tofu skins.
Ugg.. for some reason these rugs are way grosser than a standard cowhide. These have a weird Hannibal Lector meets Merret Oppenheim vibe about them.
Hello all! Kyle Bunting rugs are even better in person... I used to rep the line when I managed a showroom in Atlanta. The colors, craftsmanship and design are phenomenal. Kyle himself oversees the production of each rug and is very "hands on" with the company, which I personally respect. The cost is roughly $85 per square foot, so a standard size 8x10' will be in the $7,000 range.
Beware of knockoffs... the quality is subpar. Kyle's are top tier... and his work is truly art. Money well spent.
I have a cowhide rug that I was very excited to get when I was in South America. And when I brought it home and put it in my living room, it looked great. But yes, I tiptoe AROUND it and HATE to walk on it. Note to all people who are thinking of buying into the cowhide rug - don't if you think you'll have the same issues.
And about the rugs above, I think I might still have a problem with them, but less of one definitely.
