This would be the perfect mirror for above our friend's mantle. It's the epitome of simple and chic but the price tag is a little high, anyone have some cheaper alternatives?
Room and Board's Infinity Mirror Collection is highly covetable but the round mirror is nearly $600. It's sleek, it's modern, it isn't in your face. Have you seen anything similar for less?

There's always IKEA:

I had a glazier make me a 36" round frameless unbeveled mirror, ready to hang. Cost $72 about 8 years ago.
I have the ikea version, it works...
In addition to the GRUNDTAL one from IKEA linked above (I have two, love them), they did/do (?) have a bigger round one that had a really nice bent ply frame. It's not on the website, but I'm pretty sure they still carry it.
hub wall mirror by Umbra for $179
I've seen tons in antique stores for under $50.
Google "36" round beveled mirror"
Lots of hits.
Go with the ikea version (grundtal)... its pretty much identical but a little smaller... its 27 1/2" in diameter... makes a big statement and only $30!
Reminds me of safety mirrors:

Which I think are cool.
Try finding a wall mirror left over from someone's bathroom remodel. (I found several on Craig's List from $50 to FREE.)
You can then have the mirror cut to whatever size round you want by a glazier. My sister did just that with one of her own mirrors and it was only $15!
Lots of luck!
I bought two in Target for $20 each.
Thanks!
