Not only is everyone in Los Angeles so incredibly nice that giving a party here from 3,000 miles away was easier than trying to pick up your dry cleaning after work on 6th avenue, people came out of the woodwork to meet us and meet one another.
(Alec is at work right now).
We were pleased as punch with how many people showed up (@50) and even more impressed by the warm feeling that permeated the room. It reminded us of how absolutely important it is to be LIVE in this world, even when your business is online. We'll be working on the next party, and, in the meantime, here are a few pics we remembered to take:
Alec "the Editor" and Adam Silverman of Atwater Pottery.
Olivia and Laura dropped in and made the online experience real.
Enrique! What more can we say?
Photographer Marah Abel with Karen (SKGR's mum) and Silvie Anne.
Jed, a longtime ReadyMade fan and Macyver contestant, who convinced us to have an Ikea competition (ie. one room - only Ikea - what can YOU do?).
Alyce (who has two computer screens on at all times!), Vanessa of Turquoise Design and Eli - longtime readers - tell us that they are SO glad that they finally have a site of their own.
Paul and Marcia of Zia-Priven Design (NYC) in LA for a show, came by and shared the bi-coastal experience.
Larry and his super OK staff ham it up late night.
