10-2-08bunkbed1.jpg Yesterday when we profiled small space solutions from DanHostel, several commenters asked about the maker of the bunk beds shown in the photos. After a little searching, we found the answer: it's the La Literal Bunk Bed by Spanish design firm Lievore, Altherr & Molina, and it's sold here in Chicago...

10-2-08bunkbed3.jpg Available through Orange Skin in River North, the bed is made from a steel frame and veneered panels. It can be configured as a set of 2 bunk beds, one bed with a desk, or one bed with a shelf. 10-2-08bunkbed5.jpg La Literal is also available from Resource Furniture in New York. Exact prices aren't listed, but a write-up in the NY Times clocked the bed at over $2,200. 10-2-08bunkbed2.jpg For options including a few less expensive styles, try these posts from AT: • Good Questions: Modern Murphy Beds?Moddi Murphy Bed KitBest Of: Modern Murphy BedsFlyingBeds.com: Murphy Beds Gone WildGood Questions: Looking for a Modern Wall Bed?
