Biggest Embarrassment: Champagne stains on the cowhide rugs from Buenos Aires
Biggest Indulgence: As a housewarming gift, my friends arrived with a 7ft metal yellow giraffe that they had found at an auction. It was formally at a children’s playground and now sits in my front rock garden and greets my guests.
Best advice: Bring the texture and the environment around you inside your home.
Green Choice: We use all eco-friendly cleaning products, like method, and we have a salt-water pool.

Nice. I think all the warm touches (tan leather, orange chairs/wall) would be even better with a wood floor, instead of the tile. IMO, of course.

I think they mean pied-à-terre, which isn't correct, as Palm Springs is hardly a big city. You could claim that any second house qualifies, but the phrase usually means a small apt. in a large metropolis (as opposed to your real home, the stately mansion.)
Looks more like Michael picked things up on his astral travels.
Fab place. I would re-think the orange. It's a bit obvious. And I don't think using Method products qualify one's home as green.

I LOVE that you are so eco friendly and use Method products. Now if that isn't saving the environment one day at a time then I don't what is. Fuck Eco Star Energy Saver its all about cleaning supplies.

This is a fabulous place! Loved everything about it! Those orange chairs are terrific, where did you get them? I also liked the orange walls, its my favorite color at the moment.
Is anyone else immediately reminded of David Hockney's A Bigger Splash by that first pic?
The lack of continuity in this slideshow is distracting...as if the photoshoot took place over a period of months instead of a single day. I prefer the pendant over the disco ball above the dining room table, BTW.

Very nice and I too noted the continuity issue w/ the chandalier over the dining table, Prefer the George Nelson pendant over the disco ball.
Love, love, love the house though, I'd love to have seen the bathroom and the kitchen more however.
While orange isn't my favorite color, I do think it works here quite well since it's toned down w/ the toupe and the white.

Your house is so cool....until regardless of how you decorated it....it would look wonderful. However, you went the extra mile and your place is fabulous. I also love the night color lighting at the pool.
