LA Outdoors: 20 Covetable Yards, Porches & Pools

They're not much alike at all, but people often compare New York and Los Angeles. With two decades of Big Apple living under my belt, I'm as loyal as the next New Yorker. But there's one category where LA has NYC beat hands down: outdoor space. New Yorkers are gleeful to have even the tiniest bit of outdoor space to call their own and the most petite patio is envied. Angelenos are at a whole other level of backyard glory: pools, cabanas, fire pits, hammocks, lemon trees, avocado trees, lush greenery, dramatic cliffs, verdant hills. Need I go on?
