If you're on the lookout for vintage home and garden items, and you're not interested in paying City prices, consider taking a drive down the Peninsula.

You probably already know about Janakos and Company and Dream. (Skip the Antique Trove and the San Mateo Antiques and Collectibles Market, which have both closed up shop.) Keep heading south and there's a new one to check out: La Petite Chaise. Formerly an antique collective on Mountain View's Castro Street, it's now moved to a funky little space right across Central Expressway.

Here's the catch, though: it's only open one weekend a month (the third weekend, Friday-Sunday, 9 am-5 pm). Check it out this weekend (June 15-17) and see what you can find. We were there a couple of months ago and snapped some pics. You can also take a peek at their online Gallery here.
