Aaarg, this is so frustrating! LA scavenger always has the best stuff. Why don't New Yorkers own stuff like that?

have you considered buying the LA scavenger stuff and having it Greyhound shippped to you? I had a danish bench shippined from FL to CA via Greyhound for ~$30.
Perhaps if it's something you really want (and not found in NY), and super cheap (even w/shipping cost)....
