Because our home office doubles as our living room, this week’s tasks are absolutely necessary to keep order. Our taxes are done so we’re looking forward to taking a break this weekend and getting outside. We’re planning our media fast for tomorrow. How was your experience? The first time we did a media fast, we committed to a week of no media – not even email. Although we dreaded it, the result was incredibly rejuvenating and completely jumpstarted our stagnating creativity. Now we try to take a break once a week. Try it: step outside and listen to the sounds of your neighborhood instead of your IPod. Working on your shopping list? Driving around, listen to your own thoughts or those of your companion instead of music or the radio.
