I've always said that when I sell my house, the first thing buyers will say is, "Gee, this girl REALLY likes blue."

For the moment there is no dominant colour in my apartment. Although I'm hoping to paint a wall in a greyish-blue, a colour I was planning on ten years ago, but didn't do because I was afraid of getting tired of it. Since I still find it attractive I guess I'll do this soon. This with neutrals, and dark wooden furniture.

I didn't intend to do so, but I somehow covered my house with brown. Not only choose brown for the walls in my bedroom, but every other room has a color scheme that compliments brown (like reds, oranges, etc)

turquoise. I'm a sucker for it! esp when it comes to dishwares and other kitchen stuff!

My Living Room, Hall, Hall Bath and Kitchen Cabinets are painted Dark Chocolate Brown - Almost black. Every other room has Chocolate Brown furniture or accents, bringing the overall theme back to Dark Brown.

I have a lot of blues (large decorative bowl, rug, art, serving dishes) and red (bedding, bedside table, art). My furniture is black, dark brown, light brown, and white and there's a lot of neutrals (white walls, white plates and bowls, white bathroom rugs, etc.) Hm. I voted for blue but I really have a lot of color going on.

Wood and lots of it. the brownish red comes in the form of teak bookcases, teak sideboard, reddish brown leather ottoman, slightly darker redish brown floor, stools in a redish brown wood. Looking around I'm realizing how that really has affected the rest of our colour choices. Most of our other 'soft' furnishings are lighter grey/cream to compliment.

White dominates my home. I love it! It feels so fresh and clean and it relaxes me. Sort of like how white dominates in a spa setting. My bedding is white, my throw rugs are white, throw pillows are white, shower curtain, towels are white, etc....

I used to be all about red. The red sheets and art in my bedroom gave off a sort of bordello glow though and I've recently diversified.

Now its Blue and Brown in the Bathroom (thanks in large part to my just this side of hideous pale blue and oatmeal shower tiles), Blue and white in the kitchen with the occasional red accent - red tea pot that gets left on the table too often, stackable red soup bowls and rack sit on counter, red kitchen aid (in my dreams anyways) - and yellow/brown/green in the living room (with a little bit of orange too).

I answered green as that is my current thing, but mentally I fight my inclination toward pink at every turn. It pulls me, I fend it off, I gravitate toward it again, I slap my hand. I don't want to live in a pink world. I don't want a girlie house. But it's what my eye picks out at first glance.

My other gravitational pull is toward the most outrageously expensive item in any store. Without fail. Sigh.

I'm really flakey about sticking to a color. I put green in the survey, and I'm already thinking, well, no...

bright Lime green - from my MCM sofa, bathroom walls, painted wall shelf. It's also a featured color in many of my patterned things like my pillows and rugs.

I don't really recommend it for bathroom walls especially with fluorescent lights. I'm now considering a color change to an orangey tone

robin's egg blue/turquoise/powder blue.. those ones
really girly colours that often embarass me but just genuinely make me so happy to see
they permeate every room

Grey and cream...so soothing and easy to throw in a pop of color here and there

orange. though, come to think of it, my walls are navy blue (giant hallway), pear green (bedroom), and dove grey (living room), but for some reason, people walk in and ask if my favorite color is orange! it may be the bedding, or the orange couch or the fact that almost all my art has orange in it somewhere, but I couldn't imagine painting a room the color orange I love- that mix of orange juice and poppy red. I guess I buy orange impulsively which is why all my knicknacks seem to reflect my favorite color, even if the walls don't!

I said green, but really green and yellow are probably in equal amounts. The yellow is upstairs in the master bedroom though, so not as noticeable as the green. Yellow is my favorite color and green is my second favorite. I think it might be a little too exuberant for some people, but I love it.

I suppose the absence of "beige" as a choice in the survey shows what a problem I have. Walls, ceiling, woodwork and doors are all "autumn harvest" at the landlord's insistence (I asked if I could paint when I moved in and he said, "sure, as long as it's the same color.")

Add to that the light wood furniture that worked well in my old place and, well, it's a lot of beige.

I've been trying strong accent colors (orange, charcoal, chocolate) but it's not getting me very far.

Another reason to buy, I suppose.

Green and brown (wood/teak). All accidental.

I bought a vintage standing lamp with a green shade and then, while visiting relations on the other side of the country, found a mid-century modern teak sofa at a thrift, scored some amazing fabric at a discount house, had it re-done and shipped it home, only to realize that it was the same colour as the shade...then found a carpet in another city which turned out to be, yes, the same shade of green...then another (teak, midcentury swedish) that turned out to be the same shade. My room resembles the bottom of a pond.

Funny thing is, I don't really like green much... am now sedulously looking for orange.

red and white. dunno why. plus a bit of black. and green too, i guess, but that's because of plants not of stuff.

We have almost all green walls. Even if it is unintentional in the bathroom (I can't wait to get rid of the hospital baby vomit green as it can be rather sickening on a bad hangover). the living room is a soft khaki green and our bedroom is called 'esprit' but I would liken it to a light avocado. the combination is very restful which is great because it's a temporary fix until we have enough money to renovate, and the calming shade stops me getting angry at myself every time I spend on something frivolous.

Orange. A light orange on one wall in the living room (the rest are dark brown). Orange bedding. One bathroom is orange. Then there are hints of grey, brown, and a little pink to brighten it up.

There is no one dominant color but rather a dominant palette: Soft grey, watery blues and creamy white that are accented w/ citron, orange, chocolate and plum that appear and disappear in each room.

It's cohesive while allowing each room to be unique.

"Renters off-White" dominates my apt; but all of my accessories scream TURQUOISE!
