What inspired you to use color? I love the power that color has to control the mood of a room. Sometimes, a well colored wall can grab your attention more than any furniture can.
Color Tip: Don't be afraid, it's only paint. If you don't like it, paint over it!
Colors Used: So many but my favorite is "Skyline Steel" by Behr (I used it in the office wall with the window)
Fall Colors Introduction -------------------------------
Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...
1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide
The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.
2. Voting Phase - you vote till you drop
Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.
Best, Maxwell

I love the red wall! What color is it?
I'm looking for a red, not too dark, not too red, for the wall in my living / kitchen room and this red is the first one that I really like! :)

How do you actually sit on a couch with 15 pillows at a diagonal? I think I'd slip right through. This reminds me of an entry from last year; remember the house with at least 6 couches and all the crazy pillows? I do like the striped wall, though.

I love the 3 black stripes behind the television, they make it fit in nicely.

Lovely place, but I must ask why have you retained those dated vertical blinds? It may just be my personal pet peeve, but I think they look a little cheap. Other than that you have a wonderful place and I would love to plop down on your sofa and watch a few movies in that lovely room!

The red is called "Burning Bush" by Olympic. It was hard to fine the right red. Too dark looked like blood and too bright looked pinkish or orangish.
I do hate those vertical blinds! I just haven't found the right window treatments yet.
The sectional is from French Hat

It is soooo much bigger than it looks. The seat is about 2 feet deep so if you want to sit with your back against it, your feet would stick straight out. That's why I have all the pillows, or what I am now referring to as, "Pillow Fright 08", lol. But it does make for one hell of a movie watching sofa.
Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Not at all maike! When you put yourself out there, you have to learn to take it. You can't accept compliments for things that people like and not accept criticism for things that they don't.
If you're in La, you can come over for movie night sometime. That'll change your mind about the pillows. :)

:-D thank you - i would! - only i am in Germany.
i think what scares me about the pillows is their orderly row - but when the couch really is that deep, i can imagine that they are perfect to make it comfortable. i guess the pillows saw the camera and stood in line for the lens. ;-)
