"Bel-Air" by Mathieu Lehanneur

We all know that plants absorb a lot of toxins that are bad for humans. Designer Mathieu Lehanneur, in collaboration with David Edwards from Harvard University, have come up with the "Bel-Air" air filter that uses real plants to purify the air.

 
 

Unfortunately it looks like these are still in conceptual/prototype stage, (you can read more about it here) but we sincerely hope that someone picks these up for production 'cause we'll be first in line to snatch a few up! Apparently it will be viewable next year at MOMA in NY as part of the Design and the Elastic Mind exhibit. This will definitely be on our list of to-do's for 2008!(via Mocoloco via article)
