Apartment Therapy LA On The Town: Tour Des Artistes

Last weekend, we made the short drive to Long Beach to visit with some friends and enjoy some live music at the Tour Des Artistes. We also got a taste of the local art scene in a show called "You Remind Me of Home." Our friends, Dan Rossiter (whom you might remember from his Apartment Therapy House Tour) and his colleague Ryan Callis curated the show. While there was a ton of great substance in the gallery, there was one artist whose work stood out to us...

Timothy Wang created these miniature rooms that are magnified through his lens and displayed as oversized photographs. Each room showcases teeny rooms that are burnt to a crisp. The images are haunting and beautiful (and leave us wanting to know more). The vibe of each room reads vintage and we're definitely in with love the feminine bathroom. Timothy also uses wallpaper in each room which adds to the vintage style.

If you find yourself in Long Beach, you'll have to check out Timothy's work which runs through the 30th.

Um, when he magnifies them, maybe he should stay out of the sun. Then they wouldn't burn.
