Retro-inspired Dishwashers by Big Chill

010708bigchill.jpg

We've mentioned Big Chill Refrigerators here at AT:LA before (and on AT:NY too). They've been around for a few years, providing a rainbow of cool retro-inspired alternatives to the white or stainless steel options that are popular in the market. Their collection now includes matching stoves, and even more recently- dishwashers!

As with their refrigerators, they're only retro in look, and are complete with all the modern conveniences. They are ready-to-install and Energy-Star Qualified. They have 6 cycle settings, can hold 14 place settings, have a sound reduction system and start at about $1695. Definitely not cheap, but they also offer the front panel only so you can give your existing panel-ready dishwasher (such as KitchenAid, Miele, and Bosch) its very own "retro"-fit- ($525 for the panel only) There are two dealers in So Cal if you want to see them in person. Check out Big Chill's website for more info. (via AtomicRanch magazine)

I'm bummed that my fridge space is just too small for these. And my stove space, too. Oh, well, that kind of makes the exorbitant price kind of a non-issue.
