We came across this Cafésolo Coffee Maker from Eva Solo ($75) and thought it looked just swell. Similar to the classic
Bodum French-press pot, only instead of pressing you just pour though the built in filter. Also, since we're too old to play with dolls, we thrill at the little neoprene coffee cozy that will dress up your pot and keep your java warm (and stylish) for a 1/2 hour.
pretty pretty
but wouldn't your coffee get bitter sitting in the grounds if didn't pour your second cup along with the first?
or is that just a tea thing . . .
We've had the eva solo for 1/2 year now, and we love it. The coffee doesn't get bitter (maybe because I drink alot of it?) and we have found the quality of the brew to be markedly higher than that of press pots. And yea, the jacket is pretty snazzy, too.
