We spent all of yesterday in a jury assembly room in downtown Los Angeles. White walls, venetian hanging blinds, gray carpet, maroon chairs and posters taped to the wall. While we respect and appreciate the amenities at jury duty (free wifi, tv and magazines), spending the entire day here made us....
...really appreciate our home. Life gets busy. It's easy to go through a day, weeks, even a few months without taking a step back and simply enjoying your home, your space, your life there. You spend time decorating, picking out color combinations and bargain hunting for gems, essentially creating a space that allows you to feel the most comfortable and thankful. Don't forget to take some time and really enjoy your space. After all, you created it!

Gah! Where was your jury duty?! My last day of jury "service" was spent in a room with no windows, metal folding chairs, block walls, no wifi, tvs, or magazines. I think we had it worse than the folks on trial...

P.S. - And it DEFINITELY made me appreciate being home!

I can't believe how many people waste energy worrying about the word "we". Perhaps Rebecca and Co. in the jury discussed the situation and were in agreement, so she was like "Yeah, I can say 'we'." I mean, who cares?!
People on message boards can be some of the most annoying people on earth. Seriously.

I just looked at the house tour from which the photo was selected. I think it is a perfect choice for this post. Every photo in the tour really felt as though the owners truly appreciate their house with the care taken in furnishing it.
What really bothers me more than the use of "we" is comments that don't stay on topic.

I appreciate my space, but it's still a novelty. I look forward to having been there long enough for little things to "surprise" me again.
