Ever since we posted about Todd Oldham's photography portfolio, we've been trying to find out the source of all of those magnificent prints hanging up in practically every photograph! Thanks to AT reader spinsLPs, we now have a new artist obsession: Charley Harper.
[ Photos at Gallery One ]
We love his "minimal realism" style and how it translates in his wildlife illustrations. Some interesting factoids: Harper created a few posters for the United States National Park Services; and December 8, 2006 was declared "Charley Harper Day" in Cincinnati, Ohio.
If you're interested in getting your hands on some prints by Harper, check out his site or Gallery One. And also our past post about his love of those rascally raccoons we often see around our parts,
Also to note is this exhibition of some original Harper works on paper opening February 23rd in Cincinnati at the Country Club gallery.

I own 8 Charley Harpers and have collected them over the years. The last one I purchased was from Gallery One several months ago. From what the gallery told me, they have a relationship with Charley's son. I found them to be reputable.

Really? You didn't know about Charlie Harper until just now? I have apparently been reading far too many design blogs.

Recently have worked closely with Charley Harper Art Studio to launch another retail site which includes many Charley Harper items and lovely images. Besides Serigraph, Giclee and Lithograph prints, we offer Mugs, Puzzles, Calendars, and other items, all with licensed Charley Harper images.
