Charlotte Mann's Illustrated Decor

It was a little more than a year ago when we posted about Charlie Kratzer's $10 Sharpie markers embellished wall decor. Now we have London artist Charlotte Mann's artistically embellished interiors with heavier lines and even more detail than her predecessor…

Charlotte Mann's hard work has earned her a nomination for the British Design Awards 2009 in the Surface Design of the Year category. Her life size work presents not only exact details such as faux 2D blinds, but the view outside the fake windows themselves; flooring, fantasy art collections, furniture and even an illustrated feline prowls through her black and white enchanting menageries. Amazing work that defies description and is best simply seen to be enjoyed (unlike unintentional and undesirable marker scribbles on furnishings).

See more of Charlotte's work and her books here.

Whoa! It's like living inside a book. Like Amelia Bedelia.

It's really neat.

The pieced-together photos threw me off, and made me nauseated. Some of the Escher things do that to me too.

What a fun thing to do, and how amazing it is to see.

Wow!! This is phenomenal!
Not sure how long will I be able to live in a room with a wall like that... but, it sure looks amazing!

Some of those are a little over-kill, but I like the concept. Wouldn't do it to my walls, but think those would make for an awesome backdrop for a photoshoot.

Very cool.

Wow! Love this! Amelia Bedelia #9, completely made my day, I am now going to "draw the curtains" or was it drapes? Reminds of a show we hung in college many years ago. Again, Wow!

After reviewing again, I think it would be cool to go over those again with some light watercolours. Colour in the lines?

This level of detail is incredible! Would love to see a 19th century nautical themed wall.
