Cut Out floral Wall Panel Art

051407wallart.jpg
Cut it out! If you're looking for a little graphic flora flair, but not into the delicate, soft botanical aesthetic, consider these cut out wall panels. Crate & Barrel has a version that is crafted out of triple ply sheet iron. It can be used indoors and outdoors. This Wall Art is available for $199. Pier 1 also has a similar piece called the Lotus Wall Panel.

Pier 1's version is carved of weood with an antiqued-black finish and is $125. What do you guys think of this style of artwork? Would you put it in your home or do you already have something like this?

I have one of these panels that was given to me from a friend.

I need some ideas on how to display just one panel on the wall without it looking so awkward.

Ideas anyone?

I have been considering one of these for an outside wall in the back of my house, next to a garden. I wonder if they would work outdoors, it would be covered.

trisha, the Crate & Barrel one should definitely be fine for outdoors, it's made of metal, so should be safe... they actually mention that it can be used outdoors on the product description. keep us posted on if you end up using one and/or how it turns out!

PriscillaAmber: from what I see, these panels look best when displayed above something that's a little bit larger than their width (or the same, or maybe even smaller to a certain extent). So, just one - somewhere like a hallways, or above a radiator, or above a small computer desk?
