hang-art-01-09-3-.jpgWe got a good tip on an art gallery in San Francisco called Hang Art Gallery. There are lots of beautiful images on the website and while much of the art comes with high price tags, for inspiration (and for those who have the cash) there are some great pieces.

Hang Art also has a rental service where you can try out a piece of art for up to 3 months to insure your happiness with the work in your home.

Thanks for the tip, ebrown!

The piece you're showing here is quite beautiful.

I agree that top image is just beautiful!

There is another art gallery called Ghetto Gloss here in Silverlake that my friend owns...she has wonderful stuff and a large catalog of artists that you can rent or buy from.

I'm confused about what "affordable" means. Most of the art I own required me to make choices. If I were rich I wouldn't have to choose btw. art and something else. (I'm aware that this still puts me in a class where I can choose btw. relative luxuries, rather than having to choosee btw. necessities.) So what is "affordable"--what you can purchase easily or what you can purchase without having to give up food?

I love the waves painting.. original & striking..The one below it is just so so common looking and has no personality.. sorry..I have tried doing so-called abstract paintings like that but was left without any feeling of personal accomplishment or satisfaction at all..
